Foxconn has shown interest to start their unit in India. Now, coming back to the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime, it will be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn. This will be the second handset Xiaomi will be manufacturing in India. First device was Redmi 2 Prime.
Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime will be available on Amazon India and tagged at Rs. 8,499/- ( Approx. $129.00) . If we look at the specifications, it will boast a 5.5-inch HD IPS display (1280×720 resolution, 267 PPI) with 2GB of RAM. Under the hood, it will have a solid Snapdragon 410 Quad-Core 64-bit processor.
Built-in storage will be 16GB and expandable capacity up to 32GB via SD card support. It will be 4G ready with 13MP read camera while the front camera will be 5MP. There is some improvement on the battery side as well, Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime will be carrying a stunning 3100mAh battery.
