Obi Worldphone SF1 will be launching in emerging markets in October 2015. John Sculley is the co-founder of Obi Worldphone and earlier he was the former Apple CEO. John has been in smart phone industry since long; also understands the needs of smart phone users.
John Sculley and Robert Brunner had decided to launch their product with something different. They wanted to deliver something that none of the so called ‘ Giants ‘ have dared to do.
Obi Worldphone SF1 has completely redesigned the looks of smart phone. It’s a pointed square; though not sharp. Just check below image to get the picture.
After all, what ultimately matters is the performance. Obi Worldphone will stick to the traditional Qualcomm and MediaTek processors, Sony camera, Corning Gorilla Glass and Dolby sound. It pretty logical not to mess with hardware part; users have been familiar with performances of these chipsets.
Obi Worldphone SF1 will cost around $199 and will be available in October 2015. The SF1 with 4G/LTE sports a reinforced fiberglass body with a five-inch display and flashes for both the front and back cameras. It runs a Snapdragon 615 processor and is $199 for 2GB or RAM and 16GB of storage and $249 for 3GB of RAM with 32GB of storage.
Initial countries where it’ll launch online and in-store include be Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Pakistan, Turkey and India.
