After China, Xiaomi set to launch MIUI 7 globally from India
The much awaited ROM from Xiaomi, MIUI 7 is all set to hit mobile phones across world. On August 24, the popular Chinese smartphone brand, Xiaomi announced on its blog that they have released MIUI 7 Global beta ROM. The new ROM is launched for Chinese users but all the MIUI 7 users will miss Android Marshmallows, which is expected to launch by end of the calendar year. The new ROM from Xiaomi is designed on Android 5.0.1 and Android 5.1.

To begin with, the new ROM is made available for the users in China. Globally, the new ROM will be launched from New Delhi in India very soon. The new operating system will available for Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 4, Redmi Note 3G and Redmi Note 4G.
The vice president of International for Xiaomi, Hugo Barra announced that the MIUI 7 Global Launch Premiere was on August 19. He further said on the August 24, that, “starting from today we will support Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 4, Redmi Note 3G and Redmi Note 4G.” He also revealed that MIUI 7 Global beta ROM is now available via over the air. Means users will get an update for MIUI 7 beta ROM on their mobile phones.
MIUI 7 is designed for Android devices of Xiaomi. The operating system of Xiaomi phones, are believed, giving good experience equivalent to iOS. The MIUI 7 is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, with new devices of Xiaomi such as MI 4 or MI 4i, while MI 5 is yet to be launched. However, all the KitKat devices of Xiomi still will be updated to MIUI 7.
While releasing the new MIUI 7 beta ROM, Hugo Barra also said, “we will push out global beta releases every two weeks on Monday before 7 pm Beijing time and we will continue to optimise our global beta program.”
