Gone are the days when buying something or paying bills just by few clicks. Now, simply by tapping on mobile phone, the payment will be done. Thanks to Android Pay, which is likely to launch very shortly, will make the payment process easier and faster. Rather, the processing of payment through Android Pay will be faster than swiping credit or debit card and it will be equally faster than paying online.
If it does not levy any high taxes or charges over transactions, than even a tea stall or a vendor will be able to accept money through Android Pay for a single cutting Chai. At present, almost every telecom operator has either launched or soon to launch mobile wallet. But Android Pay is going to be different, easier and faster. Hope central bank and banks do not levy any major charges. This will help in zeroing the transactions against cash.
But what is Android Pay? It is nothing but a mobile wallet designed by Google. It is expected that the new version of LG Nexus phone along with Android’s latest ROM, Marshmallows. It may take some time to become popular and the number of people using Android Pay in Asian countries will rise phenomenally by mid-2016.
“Choose your device, add your credit or debit cards, and you’re all set. Wherever you are — at a store or in an app — you’re ready to use Android Pay,” this is how Android explains it’s new service on its website. On the website, Google explains that paying anything through a tap will make everyone a wallet free and no need to carry debit or credit cards in the pocket or wallet.
If a customer is visiting a store, he or she is no need to carry either wallet or cash or debit/credit cards. “Forget fumbling through your wallet and handing over a card next time you’re in a store. With Android Pay you can simply unlock your phone, place it near a contact-less terminal, and you’re good to go. You don’t even need to open an app. Tap and pay is that fast, that easy,” said Android.
It seems, all the merchants and vendors across world who have installed swiping machines, will have to upgrade it to contact-less or wireless terminal which will connect to the mobile phone and accept the payment. For transferring the money, customer is simply supposed to tap at select merchants, the loyalty points and offers are automatically applied at checkout too.
While buying through Apps, one does not need to enter details every time. Just select “Buy with Android Pay” and leave the rest to Android to finish the transaction.
After understanding the process of Android Pay, almost everyone has raised concerns over the security. Is my money secure? Whether I am not paying more? And most important, hope no one hacks my info…
Trust Android. Google has put in extra layers of security. The card info remains very safe. No one can hacks the info. Secondly it keep tracks of the payment. So whenever the payment is done, user is informed. Interestingly, if the mobile phone is lost, the user can instantly lock the device so that no one can either access or hack the info.
Hope, the new way of payment will change the lifestyle of the consumer. The new wallet from Google is not only user-friendly but also safe.
